Andy joined the Buckingham management team in August 2016 from Enotria&Coe where he was off-trade Director of Sales. Andy has spent time at Buckingham Schenk before when he was part of the sales team, but he has returned as our glorious Sales Director, ready to lead his team to victory. Partial to a spot of cycling, Andy devotes most of his spare time to his family and most weekends he can be found on the sidelines (whatever the weather) watching his boys play rugby and football.

Alison is a talented woman: not only is she our in-house photographer, she is also Buckingham Schenk’s answer to Mary Berry and her cupcakes would win any bake off! When she’s not donning her apron or out and about with her trusted camera you will usually find her soaking up the sights, sounds and “retail experiences” the capital has to offer. Alison has over 15 years’ off trade sales experience working in the drinks industry.

John’s love for wine started way back where he has fond memories of his grandfather pouring Alsace Gewurztraminer and opening a bottle of his prized possession of Vintage port. A career in wine was always destined and he spent 9 years at Majestic working in retail and their commercial team before moving to Enotria and then to Liberty as a National Account Manager. Working for two Italian wine specialists he found a new love for Italian wines, and a move to Buckingham Schenk was the perfect match. In his spare time, John has a mad passion for ultra-running; sometimes notching up 70miles in one go across the English countryside. After a long run he finds a glass of Chianti Classico and a Schwarzenegger movie is the perfect recovery.

Emma is the one to speak you about all things On-Trade. She has worked in the wine trade since she left University – where besides studying for her degree in English Lit and Italian, could also be found discovering the beauty of alcohol outside study hours! She began at Majestic and has come a long way since the “Maj” van driving days. She brings with her a wealth of experience for the On-Trade having worked in all areas of the country, including London, from wholesalers to fine-dining restaurants as well as National On-Trade groups. She has a love of all things gastronomical, a strong weakness for crisps and cheese (not together, although this can actually work) and will never say no to a nice meal and a bottle of wine. Her trusty sausage dog Dotty can also sometimes be found by her side whizzing round the country with her!

Mike’s love for wine started early, thanks to his grandfather, a wine merchant, who would always have something special open. Those childhood memories turned into a full-blown passion, leading to over a decade in the wine trade. He kicked things off at Laithwaite’s and Averys Wine Merchants before taking the plunge and running his own hybrid wine shop. Now, he’s focused on looking after independent wine merchants, bringing his experience and enthusiasm to the indie scene. A big foodie and wine collector, he’s always on the lookout for great bottles (and an excuse to open them). When he’s not immersed in wine, life revolves around his two small children and two energetic Labradors. A massive sports fan, he’s happiest watching cricket, cheering on Liverpool, or squeezing in a game when he gets the chance.

With over 40 years’ experience Chris is one of the few people who can actually claim to have organised a ‘Booze Up’ in both a Brewery and a Distillery. His first contact with wine was packaging it on a bottling Line but taking his WSET qualifications opened up the world of wine and he hasn’t looked back. He has experience in finding the right wine solutions for everything from traditional pubs to independent retailers and fine dining restaurants and believes that there’s a wine out there for everybody. He’s worked for and sold to national brewers, distillers, wholesalers, and independent retailers. Often quoted as saying that his favourite Wine is the one currently in his glass, if pushed he admits to a soft spot for South African and Italian wines. When not selling or drinking wine he’s a keen photographer and a long-suffering season ticket holder of Warrington Wolves Rugby League team.
